Job Description

Job Title: Communications Associate

Location: Miami FL

Reports to: Communications Manager

Job Type: Fulltime

Job Overview: The Communications Associate will support the Communications Manager in developing and implementing communication strategies that promote the organization’s mission enhance its public image and engage various stakeholders. This role involves a mix of writing editing social media management media relations and project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management: Manage and grow the organization’s social media presence by creating curating and scheduling engaging content. Monitor social media channels for trends and interactions.
  • Media Relations: Assist in building and maintaining relationships with media contacts. Help prepare press kits draft press releases and coordinate media outreach.
  • Internal Communications: Support internal communication efforts ensuring that staff are informed and engaged with the organization’s goals and activities.
  • Event Support: Assist in planning and promoting events including drafting promotional materials coordinating with vendors and providing onsite support.
  • Brand Management: Ensure all communications adhere to the organization’s branding guidelines and maintain a consistent voice and tone across all platforms.
  • Project Management: Coordinate communication projects from concept to completion ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
