Information Security Specialist

Job Summary:

The Information Security Specialist will be responsible for protecting the companys information systems from cyber threats. This includes developing and implementing security policies conducting risk assessments and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills attention to detail and a deep understanding of information security principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Monitor network traffic and system logs for suspicious activity and potential threats.
• Respond to security incidents including investigation mitigation and documentation.
• Perform risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of security threats.
• Implement security measures such as firewalls intrusion detection systems and encryption.
• Provide security training and awareness programs for employees.
• Stay up to date with the latest security trends threats and technologies.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organizations operations.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on security incidents vulnerabilities and risks to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Security Computer Science Information Technology or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 35 years of experience in information security or a related role.
• Strong understanding of information security principles practices and technologies.
• Experience with security monitoring tools intrusion detection systems and vulnerability management tools.
• Proficiency in network protocols and security technologies (firewalls VPN IDS/IPS etc.).
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM CEH CompTIA Security) are a plus.
