Job Description

Job Summary:

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records including ledgers accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.
  • Process invoices payments and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
  • Assist with monthend and yearend closing processes.
  • Conduct detailed account reconciliations and provide variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and accounting standards.
  • Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and issues.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
  • Previous experience in Agriculture/Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and MS Office especially Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
