CNC Machinist - 1st Shift

Job Description:

We have 1st shift positions available running CNC Mills and Lathes. The rate of pay is based on prior work experience and schooling. Shift hours are between 6:45 a.m. 3:15 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Plan each days machining by studying blueprints engineering plans and materials.
• Complete multiple setups daily as our parts are custommade.
• Analyze information and find the best solutions to problems.
• Program CNC mills and lathes by entering instructions including zero and reference points.
• Read and edit GCode.
• Maintain specifications by observing drilling grooving and cutting including turning facing knurling and thread chasing operations.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to ensure safe operations.
• Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Ensure continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions in our internal electronic system.
• Confer with engineers production or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to operate and program CNC mills or lathes.
• Proficient computer and technical skills.
• Can read blueprints.
• Detailoriented.
• Team player.
• Selfstarter.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating CNC mills and lathes in a production environment.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand and walk.
• Frequently required to use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
• Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Additional Requirements:
