CNC Programmer

Job Purpose:

Assist and facilitate production by programming verifying and improving processes to produce parts on all CNC machines. Responsible for programming management documentation and implementation of CNC programs.

Essential Functions:

• Receives work assignments and schedules programming work by the due date.
• Reviews prints and models.
• Determines the ideal machine and tooling to run parts on CNCs balancing efficiency and costeffectiveness of existing or new programs processes fixturing and tooling.
• Verifies programs tooling and fixturing with the operators to ensure they work as desired in the machine chosen for the operation.
• Accomplishes work by receiving or pulling prints and/or models evaluating and ordering tooling as necessary designing fixtures as necessary programming effectively and efficiently using CAM software and interfacing with operators then preserving programs once proven.
• Maintains workflow using the schedule and time management to ensure operators have programs before they are needed.
• Responsible for communicating on operations tooling and fixturing with machine operators to ensure quality parts are produced.
• Maintains company standards by exemplifying and enforcing core values and quality baseline.
• Directs software tooling and fixturing requests to Plant Manager.
• Maintains and develops professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following company and OSHA requirements.
• Other duties as required to meet job specifications.

Qualifications:

• Experience with manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Strong understanding of tooling equipment tooling processes and industrial standards.
• Makes effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities based on the schedule.

• Experience in the setup and operation of manufacturing equipment.
