Then we have the perfect job for you! Our client a local manufacturer is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Milton team. This is an ongoing fulltime position with expectation of permanent hire!
In this role you will be responsible for accurately receiving and processing invoices and ensuring everything is in order. Your meticulous attention to detail will be critical to our client. You will also be responsible for handling customer service inquiries related to invoices as well as general questions/concerns. You will need to have excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Salary:
$23.00 $25.00 per hour temporary to permanent.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday 8:00am 4:30pm (FullTime)
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and processing invoices using Sage Accpac with a high degree of accuracy.
- Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Charging expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports.
- Paying vendors scheduling and preparing cheques and resolving purchase order contract invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
- Responding to customer inquiries about invoices in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that all invoices are processed correctly.
- Maintaining accurate records of all invoices and payments.
- Updating both paper and electronic customer files and databases ensuring accuracy.
- Daily handling of phone calls emails mail and calendar/schedule.
- Additional tasks as required.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role is an asset.
- Experience with SAGE AccPac is a strong asset but not required.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and a high level of demonstrated reliability is important!

- Above average data entry and computer skills.
