Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Johor. As part of a dynamic cross functional team the ideal candidate should demonstrate knowledge of industry best practices in quality system setup yield improvement and factory qualification as well as issue resolution. You will be representing customer on a technical side for manufacturing.

The Manufacturing Engineer is the primary technical interface to the Manufacturing Partner site and is accountable for driving both Operational Perfection (Delivery Quality and Cost) requires strong knowledge on manufacturing operations and assembly process.

What Youll Do:

  • Manage our contract manufacturer (CM) site from NPI and mass production phases.
  • Supports manufacturing engineering functions at the manufacturing sites including Manage daily support of our products and tools in manufacturing. And assess their manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of materials product design manufacturing assembly testing etc.
  • Work with CM/Customer product engineer to create PFMEA Process flow chart SOP work instructions and Assembly operator training.
  • Define and review specification requirements for fit function and reliability Process stability by working together with customer Mechanical Engineering Hardware Engineering and reliability team.
  • Coordinate with contributing groups to ensure updates are processed on schedule.
  • Identify record and report any problems through trend analysis.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC) for production monitoring.
  • Initiate recommend or provide solutions to noncompliance.
  • Develop review approve work instructions Quality plan PFMEA SOP Assembly line buy off.
  • Review and approve suppliers and CMs tooling and fixture designs.

What Youll Need:

  • BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 6 years of experience in quality/reliability engineering role and takes care of the product from NPI to volume MFG stage.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with cross functional teams and management.
  • Strong manufacturing background in developing robust and repeatable processes to scale new products including process qualification process quality control and line qualification in a rapid schedule.
  • Expert in driving engineering requirements DFM review and continuous quality improvement at vendors and contract manufacturers.
  • Ability in data analysis tool.
  • 3 years of experience in manufacturing assembly process.
