Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on the companys financial performance as well as implementing costsaving measures to improve profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare analyze and report on the companys financial performance including cost of goods sold operational expenses and variances from budgeted figures.
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement through regular analysis of financial data.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement costsaving strategies.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process providing valuable insights and recommendations.
Monitor inventory levels and reconcile inventory accounts.
Prepare and submit government reports and tax filings related to cost accounting.
Assist with monthend and yearend closing processes including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Train and mentor junior staff members in cost accounting processes and procedures.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cost accounting role preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
CMA designation is a plus.
