Tax Manager - Mid-Sized CPA Firm

Location: New York NY (Hybrid 23 days in office)

Our client is a midsized CPA firm with a strong reputation for providing comprehensive tax and accounting services to a diverse client base including corporations partnerships and individuals. They are dedicated to delivering highquality service and building longterm client relationships.

They are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead their tax department. Reporting directly to the Partners the Tax Manager will oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns provide strategic tax planning and mentor junior staff. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to grow within the firm.

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Lead and manage the tax department including planning compliance and provision processes.
• Prepare and review complex federal state and local tax returns.
• Provide tax advisory services and strategic planning to clients.
• Mentor and develop junior staff providing training and guidance.
• Represent clients in tax audits and interact with tax authorities.
• Ensure compliance with federal state and local tax laws and regulations.

Qualified candidates for this role will have:

• 57 years of tax experience in public accounting.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
• Effective communication and client management skills.
• Proficiency in tax software and MS Office.

Compensation for this role:

• $130000 $160000 base salary range
