Job Description

Warehouse Procurement Specialist


Job Summary:

As a warehouse procurement specialist you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and supplies required for warehouse operations. You will manage inventory levels negotiate with suppliers monitor purchasing trends and ensure timely delivery of materials to support operational needs. The role requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to maintain costeffective procurement practices.

Responsibilities:

1.) Procurement and Sourcing:
  • Identify and source suppliers for warehouse goods equipment and supplies.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate terms prices and contracts. and nbsp;
  • Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods to meet warehouse and operational requirements.
2.) Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock levels to support warehouse operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory analysis and forecasting to anticipate demand and prevent stockouts. and nbsp;
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory flow and storage.
3.) Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. and nbsp;
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to deliveries quality or pricing.
  • Continuously evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements as needed.
4.) Cost Management:
  • and nbsp;Implement costeffective procurement strategies to optimize spending and reduce expenses. and nbsp;
  • Analyze pricing trends and market conditions to identify costsaving opportunities.
  • Monitor and control procurement budgets and expenditures.
5.) Process Improvement:
  • Streamline procurement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy. and nbsp;
  • and nbsp;Implement best practices in procurement and inventory management. Recommend and implement technological solutions to enhance procurement operations.
6.) Compliance and Documentation: and nbsp;
  • Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases contracts and supplier agreements. Prepare reports and analytics on procurement activities costs and performance metrics. and nbsp;
7.) Team Leadership:
  • Supervise warehouse staff including hiring training scheduling and evaluating performance.
  • and nbsp;Foster a positive and productive work environment encouraging teamwork and collaboration. and nbsp;
  • and nbsp;Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.
8.) Operational Management:
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including onsite material deliveries to techs and installers receiving storage order picking packing and shipping. and nbsp;
  • Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to optimize workflow and minimize costs. and nbsp;
  • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded. and nbsp;
9.) Equipment and Facility Management:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and conveyor systems.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. and nbsp;
  • Evaluate and recommend warehouse layout improvements to maximize space utilization and operational efficiency. and nbsp;

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a procurement specialist buyer or similar role preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment. and nbsp;
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles practices and procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems.

Work Environment:
