Job Description
Job Quick Facts:
Specialty: Primary Care MD/DO/NP
Job Type: Locum Tenens
Facility Location: Williamsburg VA
Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
Reason For Coverage: Supplemental
Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing
Coverage Type: Clinical Only
Shift Schedule: MonFri; 8a5p (1hr lunch break)
No Weekends No Holidays No Oncall duty
Minimum of 3 months with option to extend
Patient Demographics: Adult and Geriatric
Patient Volume: 4045 cases per day
Case Mix:
Acute and Chronic
Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
Duties:
Orders diagnostic/therapeutic tests and procedures
Ability to provide cross coverage
Monitors patients progress
Comfortable working on admissions work up and potential rapid turnover
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary treatment team
Travel lodging and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements:
Active VA License
BC/BE in FM or IM
BLS
3 more years as a Physician/Practitioner
Strong experience working with patients having Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
