Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing the monthend closing financial reporting and analysis processes for a chemical manufacturer based in Memphis.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly and quarterly closing processes for US plants.
- Implement updates or new accounting procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with operations to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the standard cost system including bills of materials manufacturing routings and purchasing information.
- Oversee the recording and reporting of purchase price and manufacturing variances.
- Manage unit cost reporting for manufactured products and perform variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with external financial audits and other thirdparty requirements (e.g. FDA/Quality procedures).
- Coordinate with operations to ensure a rigorous physical inventory verification process and communicate results to external auditors.
- Act as a liaison with operations to improve and develop weekly/monthly reporting for timely and accurate information.
- Design and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Lead develop and retain a talented team. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure alignment with functional and company goals.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting.
- 510 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (chemical industry a plus).
- International experience a plus.
- Detailoriented with a strong work ethic and experience collaborating across departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products with exceptional Excel skills.
