Our Client is seeking a strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who is a forward thinker passionate about relationship building innovative and an excellent communicator to join their team of dedicated HR professionals. The HRBP will partner with the commerce and support functions leadership team to drive business performance through people management strategies. The position is based in Kigali Rwanda reporting to the Human Resources Director (HRD).
Job Purpose
To create value for the employees and the organization. The HRBP will operate as a strategic partner and value driver understanding key stakeholders challenges and developing solutions that support the company in maintaining market leadership and providing excellent employee experiences.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Management:
- Attract recruit and hire the best talent to support business goals.
- Support functional directors and managers in building a skilled diverse and capable workforce.
Talent Management and Development:
- Develop engage and retain talent ensuring necessary skills and capabilities are present.
- Foster a culture of feedback aligned with leadership expectations.
- Collaborate with the Center of Excellence to drive performance and organizational development strategies.
Performance Management:
- Support managers in managing performance effectively.
- Manage the performance review process to ensure employee trust and engagement.
Organization & Change Management:
- Facilitate and manage organizational change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions.
- Develop plans to ensure successful adoption of changes.
- Foster strong partnerships with leadership to communicate and implement change effectively.
Employee Engagement and Culture:
- Foster a positive work environment and culture that aligns with company values and enhances engagement and productivity.
- Leadership Development:
- Develop and coach leaders to ensure they have the necessary skills and competencies.
- DataDriven Decision Making:
- Use HR metrics and analytics to inform decisionmaking and measure HR initiatives impact.
Employee Relations Management:
- Ensure a positive work environment by addressing and mediating conflicts.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in human resources Industrial Psychology Social Sciences Business Administration or related field. A Masters degree or HR Certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management.
- Ability to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English Kinyarwanda and French (if possible).
- Proficiency in managing organizational change.
- Experience in handling employee relations issues.
- Ability to provide HR consultation and advice to business leaders.
- Critical thinking and problemsolving abilities.
- Commitment to ethical HR practices and compliance with legal regulations.
- Skills in HR analytics to interpret data and make informed decisions.
