Fire fighting technician

Educational qualifications: Technical certificate in the field of occupational safety and health, or an accredited certificate in firefighting. Certifications such as NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist may be preferred.

Knowledge of Standards and Regulations: In-depth knowledge of national and international fire standards and regulations, such as NFPA and OSHA.

Technical Skills: Ability to install and maintain fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers, inspect them and perform preventive maintenance.

Inspection and evaluation skills: Ability to assess risks, perform safety assessments and maintain necessary reports.
