Mechanical Engineer - Hydropower Turbines

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in Hydropower Turbines for our client based in Norway.

Our client has expertise in architecture building and property digitalization geosciences and environment industry renewable energy safety society and urban planning transport and water. They offer comprehensive and broad insight into all relevant challenges and solutions related to hydropower production facilities. Their services range from consulting in the early phases and feasibility studies through procurement assistance detailed design environmental assessments construction management system testing and commissioning to the operational phase with environmental monitoring measurements analyses and reassessments.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Experience with Hydro power turbines mechanical and hydraulic engineering design and fabrication of hydro power turbines.
• Work typically involves existing and new hydro power turbines mechanical and hydraulic layout of units (not detailed design) troubleshooting of units breakdown evaluations.
• Experience with Plant layout and system design of hydro power plant equipment.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in English and Norwegian.
• Experience in consultancy is an advantage.
• Good business understanding.
• Strong social and communication skills.
• Customeroriented.

Requirements:

• Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Should be located in Sandvika Trondheim Stavanger or Kristiansand.
• Expected to travel 1 or 2 times per month for a few days. Longer relocations are possible for certain projects but not required.
