Job Description

Do you enjoy seeing the world while youre busy saving the world Then join the team of The Waste Transformers as Service Technician.

About the company

We turn food waste into positive value onsite with our innovative food waste solution. We developed an onsite containerized anaerobic digester called a Waste Transformer. It is placed next to companies or in communities that produce food waste. Biodegradable waste such as kitchen waste and commercial waste is used to create biogas and then converted into electricity and heat. The food waste itself turns into liquid natural fertilizer ready to replace (polluting) artificial fertilizers.

With clients from Africa to Latin America and from Europe to the Middle East and a team from 8 different countries our company is very international and embraces diversity.

What youll be doing

As Service Technician youll perform the installation onsite of our Waste Transformers as well as the halfyearly and yearly servicing. Additionally youll help train the daily operators of these installations and monitor if the installations are running at maximum efficiency.

Our installations are being built in the Netherlands by our production partner in VelsenNoord and then assembled and taken into production onsite usually with a local partner taking care of feeding the machine a daily diet of food waste. As food waste gets produced everywhere our installations also go everywhere. Depending on how busy it is you might also be asked to help assemble the installations in VelsenNoord.

Youll work with people of many cultures and various levels of technical knowhow and enjoy the challenge of working together across cultural and linguistic barriers. Youre handson and pragmatic in finding solutions that work.
