As a Senior Legal Counsel IT & Digital at Axpo you will support and work closely with the Axpo Group Legal Services Team based in our HQ in Baden Switzerland. Our interdisciplinary team works on highly topical issues covering the entire energy value chain. What you will do:

• Provide strategic legal advice to guide Axpos digital transformation journey.
• Advise on various IT matters including software licensing SaaS agreements enduser license agreements (EULAs) and other related contracts in compliance with relevant laws and regulations such as GDPR and intellectual property rights.
• Negotiate draft and review a broad range of legal documents related to IT procurement and digital projects including contracts with various international service providers and technology partners.
• Liaise with IT and other stakeholders on project implementations (e.g. agile project agreements) and digital transformation projects.
• Handle disputes and litigation related to software licensing working with external counsel as necessary.
• Stay current with changes in software licensing laws and technology advancements advising the company on potential impacts and adapting the organizations approach to anticipate legal implications.

What you bring & who you are:

• Completed legal studies (Masters degree from an EEA/EU University) admitted to the bar.
• Minimum of 58 years of experience in negotiating IT contracts in an international law firm or a global organization.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with crossfunctional teams.
• A team player with an open mindset and strong communication skills.
• Fluency in English; German is desirable. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
