Are you an EMI/EMC Specialist (f/m/d) looking for an exciting opportunity and a permanent role As a design specialist in High Frequency Electromagnetics you will be responsible for developing designing and testing cuttingedge electrical systems for topoftheline electrical products for aerospace. Tasks:

  • Simulation and analytical assessment of conducted wave propagation and radiated emissions in electrical aircraft propulsion components for robust system design with respect to aircraft requirements method tool and guideline development and application for the prediction of wave propagation in electrical networks and the prediction of electromagnetic radiation
  • Understanding and converting aerospace requirements and standards (e.g. RTCA/DO160G SAE and EUROCAE standards) to design attractive propulsion system solutions
  • Verification planning in different design phases in collaboration with other disciplines: design of experiments measurement data analysis and results interpretation to verify electromagnetic compatibility
  • Enriching and refining an interdisciplinary iterative electrical propulsion system design process

Skills:

  • Msc. in electrical engineering or physics with specialization in the high frequency electromagnetics domain EMI and EMC. A PhD degree could be an asset
  • Very good theoretical knowledge of conducted and radiation waves and profound skills in equivalent circuit modelling as well as proficient simulation and programming skills ideally including finite element analysis and method of moments (e.g. HFSS Feko CST EMA3D)
  • Good physical knowledge of electrical drive systems and electromagnetic interference between components including electrical machines inverters and grounding systems
  • Experience in the application of electromagnetic compatibility standards (ideally RTCA/DO160G knowhow)
  • Proficient English language skills
