Description:
The D365 program has a requirement for a senior special advisor to assist with development and evolution of AD initiatives. The senior special advisor must have experience in providing strategic
advice on AD account management and automating processes related to AD.
Scope:
D365 will pursue several projects and initiatives including:
- Best practices for cloud (integration with onpremise Active Directory Cloud Security Cloud AD object naming conventions Identity and Access Management)
- Account Management Best Practices (account lifecycle from creation to deletion access management and identity management)
- Active Directory Cleanup (Account Elevated Accounts GPOs Security Groups Organizational Units Child Domains Forest Domain DNS etc.)
- Analysis of Active Directory security and health posture (ex. Database configuration management)
- Audit Activities
Tasks:
The resource must complete tasks related to the design configuration documentation deployment and support of active directory services as directed by the Technical Authority and
Service Owner.
1. Develop technical architectures frameworks and strategies to meet the business and application requirements
2. Identify the policies and requirements that drive out a particular solution and nbsp;
3. Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions to meet business problems
4. Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions 5. Monitor industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with government and industry directions for technology
6. Provide information direction and support for emerging technologies
7. Perform impact analysis of technology changes
8. Provide support to applications and/or technical support teams in the proper application of existing infrastructure
9. Review application and program design or technical infrastructure design to ensure adherence to standards and to recommend performance improvements
10. Develop or participate in the development of requirements feasibility cost design and specification documents for systems
11. Develop or participate in the development of any documents required to support legacy and
current production systems
12. Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members Specialties include: and nbsp;
a. Microsoft Windows Desktop OS and nbsp;
b. Microsoft Active Directory and nbsp;
c. Microsoft Exchange and nbsp;
d. X.500 Directory Services and nbsp;
e. Metadirectory technology and nbsp;
f. MS 365 administration
13. Host or attend meetings with management team to ensure all organizational (internal and external) stakeholders are committed and moving forward on project and organizational goals
14. Analyse and evaluate proposed computer applications to determine technical and operational feasibility
15. Prepare briefing notes presentations plans charts tables and diagrams to assist in analyzing or resolving problems
16. Provide written reports on the progress of all assigned tasks/deliverables when requested by the TA
a. Written and verbal advice.
b. Knowledge transfer.
c. Issues papers/Briefing Notes.
d. Presentation decks and materials.
e. Meeting facilitation and reports (e.g. monthly progress reports).
f. Guides manuals reports to be disseminated to various stakeholders as required.
g. Meeting agendas schedules and minutes.
h. Activity reports.
17. Provide strategic advice and guidance on Directory Services activities and governance
18. Recommend organizational change management solutions to drive adoption of tools and processes related to Directory Services
19. Perform any other tasks related to this category as required.
MS Certified Architect candidates will be given preference.
