Responsibilities: • Attend preconstruction and progress meetings. • Provide regular monitoring of the Project schedule as construction progresses in liaison with the other supervisors. • Establish and implement procedures to be followed for expediting and processing all Project documents. • Review and propose refinement of the Project schedule. • Develop and implement a formal quality assurance program and inspection. • Make sure that the works are being carried out in a correct manner and in accordance with the best engineering practices and as per the contract specifications. • Review and check the coordination of design between Specialist MEP Engineering disciplines, Structural and Architecture/Interiors. • Monitor the Contractor and Architect of Record’s progress in obtaining the necessary completion certificate(s) from the local Municipality. • Monitor and report regularly on-site safety. • Record the progress of the Project and review & comment on the monthly report prepared by the contractor and raise to the client. • Receive and maintain on a current basis, copies of all contracts and records relating thereto, shop drawings, sample materials equipment data, applicable handbooks, technical standards and specifications, maintenance and operating manuals and instructions, as-built drawings, permits, and any other required or related document and revisions thereto relating to the Project. At the completion of the project, deliver all such records to the Client. • Provide to the Client a record set of tests and other actions performed to verify adherence to quality standards and conformance with contract documents. • Assist the Client in coordinating the preparation of the facilities management procedures. • Ensure that the Works are ready for acceptance and prepare handing over the Works to the Client including preliminary handover report. • Review all claims submitted by the Contractor and issue timely responses on same. • Conduct regular performance reviews, offer mentorship and coaching, recognize outstanding performance, and encourage a culture of continuous improvement and open communication. • Experience in identifying, analysing, and mitigating risks associated with construction projects. • Capability to assess risks associated with contracts and implement strategies to mitigate them. • Understanding of local laws and regulations related to construction contracts in Qatar and the Middle East. • Understanding of financial aspects of contracts, including payment terms, invoicing, and cost management. • Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate contract terms and conditions clearly to all stakeholders. • Maintain close coordination with the PMC to promptly communicate and document any working changes that might impact project cost or timelines. • Regularly evaluate contractor performance, identifying any issues or concerns. Provide feedback to the PMC to ensure corrective actions are taken, and project objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
