Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Education or related field. Must obtain Masters degree per NYSED guidelines.
  

Experience:

• No experience is required; however 35 years is preferred.
  

License/Registration/ Certification:

• NYS Permanent OR Initial Certification in Special Education preferred;
  
• All Certification areas are considered and encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Job Summary:

Plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities in a variety of educational settings. The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A valid NYS certification in: SPECIAL EDUCATION (Grades 16 or 712) required
2. NYSED Fingerprint Clearance
   
3. Demonstrated ability to work with peers
   
4. Demonstrated ability to work with supervisors
   
5. Ability to motivate and instruct students
   
6. Experience in at least one core content area (preferred)
