Job Title: Assistant Manager Fine Wine and Spirits Store

Salary Package: 35000 p/a 40000p/a Commission

A distinguished client in the luxury asset brokerage industry is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager for their new fine wine and spirits store opening in Knightsbridge London in summer 2024. This client specializes in empowering individuals to build wealth through acquiring prestigious assets including timepieces art luxury handbags coins wine and whisky.

Job Description:

As part of their strategic growth plan our client is launching a luxury spirit and wine store and is looking for an ambitious and charismatic Retail Assistant Manager. This store will be located in the affluent area of Knightsbridge London and will offer a range of premium spirits fine wines and liqueurs. Whisky casks a major element of the clients portfolio will also feature prominently.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the store while delivering exceptional customer service and promoting a premium range of single malt whiskies spirits fine wines and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager in recruiting training leading and managing a highperforming team dedicated to delivering unrivalled customer service.
• Develop strong longterm relationships with retail clients by offering exceptional levels of service and product knowledge.
• Assist in the execution of the annual marketing calendar including instore tastings customer events and promotions across all channels.
• Collaborate with the General Manager in managing stock levels ordering inventory and ensuring accurate stock management.
• Contribute to identifying areas for growth and commercial opportunities within the business providing insights and recommendations.
• Work closely with the Buying Manager to support relationships with wine and spirit suppliers.
• Maintain a comprehensive view of current industry trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
• Oversee daytoday operations of the store ensuring adherence to exceptional standards of housekeeping on and off the shop floor.

Key Qualifications:

• WSET Level 3 Wine and/or WSET Level 3 Spirits certification or equivalent with a strong knowledge base in the whisky and/or fine wine sector.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in premium retail management within the wine and spirit industry.
• Customerfocused mindset with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Selfmotivated and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a passion for fine wines champagne spirits and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
