Senior Accountant Manager (T. Nagar Chennai)

Location: T. Nagar Chennai

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant Manager to join our team in T. Nagar Chennai. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting function ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. You will provide leadership and guidance to a team of accounting professionals and play a key role in maintaining strong internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the daytoday accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger and payroll.
  
• Prepare and reconcile monthly financial statements according to Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  
• Oversee the closing process ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff providing training and development opportunities.
  
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support management decisionmaking.
  
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  
• Liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  
• Stay uptodate on relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  

Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification.
  
• 58 years of experience in a senior accounting role within a manufacturing trading or service organization.
  
• Strong understanding of accounting principles Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and financial reporting.
  
• Proven experience in managing a team of accounting professionals.
  
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  
• Strong communication interpersonal and leadership skills.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally SAP FICO etc.) is a plus.
