Day Centre Manager

Attached to the beautiful Magdalen House Residential Care Home in Hadleigh on the outskirts of Ipswich the team operate a daytime Dementia Cafe centre for the local community.

The Day Centre provides activities and support for people who join the vibrant community and we are looking to welcome a dedicated and motivated person to lead the centre with the support of the care home management team. The role is at the higherend of parttime working for 30 hours a week on a Monday Friday schedule so weekends remain free for a positive worklife balance.

The hourly rate is 11.90 making this a c 25000 FTE role or c 18500 for the 30hour working schedule.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a broad programme of social and communitybased activities. You will oversee the smooth running of the service and be responsible for quality assurance while ensuring the identified aims of the cafe are met.

You will also oversee all associated administration the support of relevant staff and volunteers and contribute to the running and ongoing development of the service.

Youll be a real people person and be committed to making our visitors leave with a smile on their face. Getting older at home can be isolating for some so coming to our day centre keeps people connected with their local community and receive appropriate care and support.

Requirements

• Day centre or similar caring environment experience
• 1 year caring experience (preferred)

• You will need to have had at least initial 2 doses of Covid vaccination
