Requirements
- Case Management: Assist solicitors with managing a varied caseload of housing law matters including landlord and tenant disputes evictions and homelessness cases.
- Client Interaction: Conduct client interviews gather relevant information and maintain regular communication to update clients on case progress.
- Documentation: Draft and prepare legal documents correspondence and court forms with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Legal Research: Perform thorough legal research to support case preparation and provide uptodate information on housing law developments.
- Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments maintaining case files and managing deadlines.
- Court Preparation: Assist in preparing cases for court hearings including compiling evidence and organizing bundles.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with solicitors and other paralegals to ensure efficient case progression and contribute to team objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a paralegal in housing law.
- Education: A degree in law or a relevant legal qualification (LPC BPTC etc.).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of housing law and procedures.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
