Sourcing of parts consumables subcontractors information and technology in support of production.
Completing Grid and quality inspection on parts and subcontract operations for both stock and WIP in timely fashion to meet the deadlines set. Maintaining contact with suppliers via email telephone etc to maintain progress of the manufacture of parts and operations etc
Working with production completing As received technical and Final technical reports.
Design source and installation of test equipment to meet with production demands.
Compilation of technical information and instruction manuals to support test equipment.
Commissioning of new test equipment and service/repair/calibration of existing equipment in the field
Overseeing fault investigation and testing of new products or special projects. Work with sales team to promote the business speaking with customers diagnosing faults and offering technical support.
Assisting commercial department with part recognition and raising quotations.
To ensure all work/tasks/procedures/documentation meet the requirements of OEL Quality Systems & recognised standard practices
Requirements
Knowledge Skills Education Training and Experience:
HND / Degree Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
PC literate: with the ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Use of Solidworks drawing package.
Use of data acquisition and intelligent instrumentation hardware (Labview).
Experience of fitting and assembly processes.
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experienced in fluid dynamics.
Able to interpret and read technical specifications and technical drawings
Must have proven teamworking skills.
Planning and organisational skills are also required to ensure deadlines are met.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
