HSE Manager

• Manage the projects health and safety matters related to construction activities and contractual responsibilities.
  
• Conduct regular internal audits across all sites and divisions as well as external audits on suppliers and subcontractors.
  
• Ensure all site activities are carried out in the safest possible manner.
  
• Identify and report environmental and health and safety issues to the project management team.
  
• Review and develop method statements risk assessments and Environmental Health & Safety Plans.
  
• Develop maintain and implement IMS procedures and ensure compliance with ISO accreditations.
  
• Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
  
• Prepare and develop the projects Health and Safety plan.
  
• Prepare and review fire evacuation plans.
  
• Develop sitespecific method statements in liaison with site engineers.
  
• Coordinate with main contractors safety representatives.
  
• Attend site meetings and report back to senior management.
  
• Attend daily toolbox talks conducted by the main contractor.
  
• Inspect sites daily to ensure a safe environment and compliance with safety standards.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• 8 10 years of experience in commercial and mixeduse projects.
  
• Strong understanding of national and international safety standards and legislation.
  
• Familiarity with hygiene occupational and general safety programs.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management (e.g. NEBOSH IOSH OSHA) is highly desirable.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Computer literate.
  
• Fluent in English. Arabic is a plus.
