Your role
As our first Data Engineer your mission will be to ensure simplified access to the right data for everyone in the team. By providing clear and easytounderstand data insights you will play a central role in empowering them to make datadriven decisions confidently.
Further you will
- aggregate data from MySQL PostgreSQL Google Analytics and thirdparty tracking systems using ETL processes
- standardize data formats and create unified schemas to ensure consistency across different data sources
- set up automated data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability
- conduct data analysis to identify insights and potential using statistical methods and machine learning algorithms where appropriate
- monitor ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure timely and errorfree data updates setting up alerts for any failures or anomalies
- identify and address bottlenecks in the data infrastructure optimizing database queries and storage solutions for better performance
What we like
- You have profound knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
- You are proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python for data manipulation and ETL processes
- You excel at organizing and interpreting complex data to extract actionable insights
- Your analytical skills and customer focus allow you to grasp quickly what stakeholders need troubleshoot if needed and resolve data issues quickly
- You are a strong communicator are empathetic and are able to collaborate with crossfunctional teams effectively
- We value a handson cando mentality: You enjoy delivering and implementing ideas endtoend
- If you have experience with Metabase Elixir or Livebook its a plus
- Finally you are proficient in English German skills are not necessary but are a plus
