Position: SQL Developer Senior IM Engineer (Production)

Location: Kuwait

Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced Oracle SQL Developers to join our clients team in Kuwait. As part of the Information Management (IM) unit within the Oil & Gas sector you will play a critical role in supporting production and field development operations through robust database management and SQL expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Querying and Analysis: Utilize Oracle SQL to extract and manipulate data for visualization engineers who create dashboards.
  
• Production Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of production data understanding its quality aspects and implications for operations.
  
• Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with ProSource and Seabed data models particularly in the context of oil and gas production.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with IM teams to map production data against reservoirs update completion and perforation data and validate well tests.
  
• Reporting and Documentation: Generate ad hoc reports for field development teams and formalize data requirements across IM units.
  
• Data Governance: Implement and adhere to best practices in data governance documenting workflows and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  
• Project Support: Assist in the development of new data workflows and contribute to the enhancement of corporate databases.
  

Requirements:

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Oracle SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
  
• Industry Knowledge: Minimum 10 years of experience in SQL development preferably within the Oil & Gas sector with a strong understanding of production operations and data management.
  
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  
• Analytical Abilities: Basic understanding of data analytics to interpret and present findings from SQL queries.
  
• Project Management: Familiarity with project management principles and their application within data management projects.
  
• Tools: Experience with Avocet software is advantageous.
  
• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field is preferred.
