Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to help students overcome behavioral and psychological problems
• Assess and evaluate students’ learning abilities emotional wellbeing and social skills
• Provide direct and indirect psychological services to prekindergarten through grade 12 students who are at risk of social and academic failure
• Serve as a technical assistant for the support of implementation of RTI in the assigned schools (if applicable)
• Collaborate with the school’s Special Education team

Qualifications:

• Must have a PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license
• Candidates eligible for a PELSB Tier 2 license are also considered provided they are enrolled in a teacher preparation program or have a Master’s degree in the content area
• Experience working in schools or with children is preferred but not required
• A Master’s degree from a NASPaccredited university is preferred
