What you will be doing:
- Operating and maintaining stationary equipment such as steam boilers air compressors generators waste water cooling towers fire systems and refrigeration equipment
- Operating automation systems to ensure peak performance of the systems
- Monitoring & adjusting/repairing operating equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical problems & determining how to correct issues checking blueprint repair manuals & parts catalogs as necessary
- Monitoring boiler water boiler chemicals wastewater chemicals and fuel levels
- Regularly inspecting property for safety & security issues including but not limited to nonfunctioning lights ground & trip hazards broken fences handrails safety railings exposed wiring potholes and sewer line breaks
- Proper & safe startup of boilers refrigeration systems and wastewater system
- Testing boiler and refrigeration system safeties and recording results
- Assisting in basic maintenance repairs
- Keeping plant online by making manual adjustments
- Understanding back flows process flows and P&ID awareness
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Using electronic test equipment
Experience you will need:
- Knowledge of HMI operations and computer electronics and computer communications
- Knowledge of operation & uses of various pumps including multistage centrifugal
- Basic computer skills with office productivity software for email work processing & spreadsheets
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Problem solving skills
- Three years of relevant experience
- First Grade Stationary Engineers license
