Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity eye health and the presence of ocular diseases or conditions.
- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses (glasses and contact lenses) based on patients needs and preferences.
- Evaluate and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma cataracts and diabetic retinopathy.
- Provide appropriate referrals to ophthalmologists or other healthcare professionals for specialized treatments or surgical interventions as necessary.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices including hygiene nutrition and lifestyle factors affecting eye health.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records of examinations treatments and followup care.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometric practices treatments and technologies through continuous professional development and training.
- Adhere to professional standards ethical guidelines and regulations set forth by NHRA and other relevant authorities.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and healthcare professionals within our organization to ensure comprehensive patient care and continuity of services.
Requirements
Valid NHRA license to practice optometry in Bahrain.
Proven experience as an Optometrist.
Strong clinical skills and proficiency in conducting thorough eye examinations and diagnosing eye conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize and educate patients effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to delivering highquality patient care and service excellence.
Knowledge of current optometric practices procedures and technologies.

Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry school. Valid NHRA license to practice optometry in Bahrain. Proven experience as an Optometrist.
