Role Overview: Were on the lookout for a motivated Junior AWS Lambda Developer to support our exciting projects. This role is perfect for someone who has some foundational experience or training in serverless applications and is enthusiastic about learning and contributing to cuttingedge solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Serverless Application Development: Work alongside senior developers to design develop and deploy AWS Lambda functions using Java.
  
• API Integration Support: Assist in configuring AWS API Gateway to trigger Lambda functions and help develop RESTful APIs.
  
• Database Management Support: Aid in managing MySQL databases on Amazon RDS and learn best practices for database optimisation.
  
• Cloud Services Utilisation: Gain handson experience with various AWS services including S3 IAM CloudWatch and VPC.
  
• Security and Best Practices: Learn to implement security best practices for serverless applications.
  
• Continuous Integration and Deployment: Help set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline or Jenkins.
  
• Monitoring and Logging: Use AWS CloudWatch and AWS XRay to monitor and debug applications with guidance from senior team members.
  
• Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining detailed documentation for code and system architecture.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers UX designers and project managers to deliver highquality software solutions.
  

Requirements

What We re Looking For:

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• Experience:
  
• Basic knowledge of Java development.
  
• Some experience or training with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures.
  
• Familiarity with MySQL database design and optimisation.
  
• Technical Skills:
  
• Basic proficiency in Java.
  
• Basic knowledge of AWS services (Lambda API Gateway RDS S3 IAM CloudWatch).
  
• Understanding of RESTful API design.
  
• Familiarity with version control systems particularly Git.
  
• Soft Skills:
  
• Eager to learn and grow within the role.
  
• Strong problemsolving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  
• Detailoriented with a focus on quality.
  
• Ability to manage tasks effectively and work independently when needed.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Developer Associate or similar certification (or willingness to obtain).
  
• Knowledge of additional programming languages (Python JavaScript).
  
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like React.
