Job Title: Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
Location: Addis Ababa Ethiopia
Our client an Ethiopianowned company with over 10 years of experience as a serviceoriented solution provider and a leading player in the enterprise IT market is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kenyan Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic team.
General Responsibility
Oversees effective implementation of Company financial policies and procedures; ensure Company financial policies and procedures and relevant Government regulations are understood and duly observed by all concerned.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that adequate finance is available to accomplish the daily operational activities and to meet Company s financial obligations to internal and external Creditors
Designs budget formulation basis and budget preparation process; maintain strict budget discipline.
Closely monitors and ensures accurate and up to date accounts and financial records are maintained based on Company financial policy and procedure and a standardized procedure.
Manage project finance and operations teams to collect receivables without delay
Manage project finance and operations teams to settle suppliers payables as per agreed credit terms
Secure foreign currency from different sources to deliver projects as per schedule
Sets annual financial performance targets for the Company i.e. set financial indicators performance targets and monitor and evaluate accordingly.
In close collaboration with Internal Audit Services installs regular auditing schedule by internal audit and external audit Manages the preparation of periodic financial reports (Income and loss statements Balance sheets cash flow statements.
Designs budget formulation basis and budget preparation process; maintain strict budget discipline.
Closely monitors and ensures accurate and up to date accounts and financial records are maintained based on Company financial policy and procedure and a standardized procedure.
Conduct valuation of the company to secure good financing
Make the company ready for initial public offering (IPO) on Ethiopian Stock Exchange (ESX)
Establishes close relationships with Tax Authorities in matters related to periodic tax reports payment of taxes custom issues etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance/Accounting/ or related field of study.
Requirements
10 years of experience in Accounting/Finance out of which 5 years at managerial position.
ACCA certification is preferable
Skill Knowledge and Attitude
Solid knowledge of the Ethiopian Tax regulations
Knowledge and experience of accounting application software
Knowledge of financial management including capital budgeting financing project management cash flow management discounting and other evaluation techniques.
Strong knowledge of financial markets banking system in Ethiopia
Full Time
