Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cisco ISE Engineer to join our team dedicated to ensuring the security and operational efficiency of our network infrastructure across multiple hospital locations. This role involves maintaining the health of our Cisco ISE environment handling requests and assessments and actively participating in security council meetings. The position requires remote work capabilities with necessary travel to various hospital sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain Cisco ISE Health:
- Oversee and manage the daytoday operations of the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Request Assessment and Implementation:
- Evaluate prioritize and implement ISErelated requests to ensure smooth and efficient network operations.
- Environment Health Assessment:
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the ISE environment within the first 30 days of employment.
- Identify issues and areas for improvement to enhance system performance and security.
- Cleanup and Optimization:
- Perform recommended and agreedupon cleanup activities within 30 days following the initial assessment.
- Optimize configurations and processes to maintain a healthy network environment.
- MIoT Security Counsel Participation:
- Participate in Medical Internet of Things (MIoT) security counsel meetings.
- Help establish cycles and timelines for implementing ISEmanaged controls on MIoT devices.
- AfterHours Support:
- Provide support to the oncall team during afterhours as needed.
- Ensure timely resolution of any critical issues that arise outside regular working hours.
Required Technologies and Skills:
- Extensive experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- Proficient in Cisco Wireless technologies
- Strong expertise in Cisco Switch configurations and management
- Experienced with Cisco Digital Network Architecture Center (DNAC)
- Solid understanding of network security principles and practices
- Proven experience in assessing and optimizing network environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Cisco ISE Wireless and Switch technologies
- Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g. CCNP Security CCIE Security) preferred
- Experience in healthcare IT environments is a plus
