Job Description

QUALITY ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client an established manufacturing facility with US headquarters in WNY is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their growing team.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily responsibilities to ensure quality and continuous improvement of products and processes in the facility
  • Ensure ISO9001 EMS14001 UT ETL CSA and NSF compliance at all times
  • Prepare and present documents to auditors when necessary including but not limited to compliance products engineering designs manufacturing/quality processes inspections and performance metrics
  • Develop shortterm and longterm action plans using the 5 WHYs to remedy quality issues and shortcomings
  • Investigate customer issues determining the root case and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Partner with other internal teams production/engineering during investigations
  • Lead and participate in Quality review meetings clearly outlining the successes and failures of the Quality Department
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and draft Working Papers & Training manuals to improve Quality processes
  • Participate in Planning processes to ensure products quality
  • Receive review and approve Engineering Drawings ensuring accurate measurements are depicted for all aspects of a product
  • Train QA Inspector and Quality Engineer on regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate suppliers for their ability to produce complying products
  • Other duties as assigned/as necessary

Details:

  • Position is full time direct hire
  • 100% inoffice; Monday thru Friday 7:30am4:00pm or 8:00am4:30pm
  • $80000 $95000 annually depending on experience
  • 35 years experience in Quality in a manufacturing setting or HVAC
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Knowledge in HVAC Pumps and pressure vessels preferred
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organization skills and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Selfmotivated
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Relocation not available
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship is not available
