ERP Applications Engineer

This will be a midlevel to senior role depending on technical expertise and accounting knowledge. Will be responsible for providing oversight and support of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains financial system (and thirdparty addons) Sales Pad and any supporting applications. The role will require someone who has indepth experience with Microsoft SQL Server versions 2016 and greater and will have a background using MS SQL Server and be able to understand SQL design concepts practices and procedures.

The position will also include identifying business requirements performing data analysis creating and maintaining reports writing SQL queries designing and coding stored procedures and leveraging SQL technologies to automate business processes.

This a small IT department and will be the companys SQL SME. Prior experience in distribution and logistics would be a PLUS!

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain the general finance modules in Dynamics GP: including Receivables Payables Inventory Cash Management General Ledger and Procurement.

Troubleshooting of advanced issues in GP SalesPad ISVs and other ancillary applications.

Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments from development to missioncritical production systems.

Guide and help design/develop database objects stored procedures views reports jobs indexes functions tables and triggers; ensure their stability reliability and performance.

Assist developers with optimizing application performance across the entire SQL landscape.

Independently analyze solve and correct issues in realtime providing problem resolution endtoend.

Troubleshoot various problems that arise in the daytoday operations and fix the issues.

Refine and automate business processes track issues and document changes.

Share domain and technical expertise providing technical mentorship and crosstraining to other peers and team members.

Requirements

5 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP SalesPad and/or similar ERP and Distribution/Supply Chain or ECommerce Applications

Solid understanding of Dynamics GP modules including Financials Sales Purchasing Inventory and Manufacturing

Strong understanding of accounting principles and core financials (i.e. GL POP SOP AP AR Financial Statements etc.)

3 years of experience in software development using MSSQL Server 2012 and later TSQL and TSQL language (queries views procedures) SQL Server database design stored procedure design and implementation.

Experienced in MS SQL Server programming and SSRS report development.

5+ years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP, SalesPad, and/or similar ERP and, Distribution/Supply Chain, or E-Commerce Applications Solid understanding of Dynamics GP modules including Financials, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, and Manufacturing Strong understanding of accounting principles and core financials (i.e. GL, POP, SOP, AP, AR, Financial Statements, etc.) 3+ years of experience in software development using MS-SQL Server 2012 and later, T-SQL and T-SQL language (queries, views, procedures), SQL Server database design, stored procedure design, and implementation. Experienced in MS SQL Server programming and SSRS report development.
