Job Description

Purpose

Bartenders will be responsible to prepare and serve drinks to customers. able to
mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers needs and expectations. The purpose of this position is to interact with the hotel guests and ensure they have a great experience at the BAR or lounge.


Special Requirements

General

1. Is directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of work

2. Assists his/her supervisor in executing the day to day operational requirements

3. Assumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness; promotes teamwork and acts as role model

4. Attends all scheduled training sessions

5. Actively offers operational employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to management

6. Displays warmth care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers

7. Adheres to the hotels code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards

8. Is seen as working handson assists colleagues in crunch times; Walks the talk

9. Actively participates in briefings and meetings

10. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes a safe working environment

11. Performs any additional duties as assigned


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To be actively part of Food & beverage team in nonoperational time of Bar operation.

2. Interact with customers take orders for drinks and snacks.

3. Plan and present bar menu.

4. Serve snacks and drinks to the customer.

5. Check identification of the guest to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products.

6. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.

7. Mix drinks cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with hotel standard drink recipes.

8. Prepare alcohol or nonalcohol beverages.

9. Service Wine and Beer to guests.

10. Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive displays.

11. Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations

12. Ability to Sell or influence others for up selling and suggestive selling.

13. Provide recommendations and suggestions to guest for choosing Drinks and Snacks.

14. Serve customers in a friendly and helpful manner.

  1. Keep the bar counter and work area neat and clean at all times.

16. Provide guidance to guests on resort activities dining options and general resort and Regional information.

17. Determine when a customer has had too much alcohol and if required refusing any further serving on a polite way.

18. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of food and beverage products menus and Promotions

19. Handle and move objects such as glasses and bottles using hands and arms.

20. Clean up after customers and clean work area.

21. Clear ashtrays as and when required.

22. Wash glassware and utensils after each use.

23. Maintain a clean working area by sweeping vacuuming dusting cleaning of glass doors and windows etc. if required.

24. Perform physical activities such as lifting and stooping.

25. Maintain liquor inventory and consumption.

26. Collect payment for drinks served and balance all receipts.

27. Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures as per hotel standard.

28. Prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies.

29. Ensure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for Mixing beverages and serving guests.

30. Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

31. Comply with all food and beverage regulations

32. Perform Other duties as and when assigned by the hotel management
