Part Time Engineering Intern

Our focus is Civil Structural and Electrical engineering on the largest wind farm solar farm microgrid or battery storage projects in North America.

KCS Corporation is seeking a part time Engineering Intern who will learn and support Civil/Structural Engineering Department. Will work approximately 20 hours per week throughout the year. The work schedule will be flexible and will be onsite in our Schaumburg offices.

• Perform basic civil/structural engineering tasks and prepare calculations & drawings under the guidance of a Design Engineer.
  
• Perform research and compile data for preparation of design calculations.
  
• Accompany Engineers on site visits if needed.
  

Requirements

• Current enrollment in 3^rd or 4^th year of Bachelor s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  
• Must have completed courses in Engineering Drafting Statics & Dynamics Steel and Concrete design and familiarity with ACI 318 and AISC Steel Manual
  
• Software Skills: AutoCAD RISA 3D MathCAD and MS Office.
