Position Preview
Be part of our client s team as a PHP Developer specializing in Laravel responsible for developing testing and maintaining robust applications. Utilize your expertise in PHP frameworks to port applications from CodeIgniter to Laravel ensuring high performance and functionality. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to innovate and deliver cuttingedge solutions.
Shift: MONDAY TO FRIDAY 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PST
Work Setup: Onsite Bogota/Medellin
Your Daily Impact: Tasks & Triumphs
- Develop test and maintain robust scalable and highperformance PHP applications.
- Write clean efficient and welldocumented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Utilize PHP frameworks such as Laravel Symfony or CodeIgniter to build and enhance applications.
- Port existing applications from CodeIgniter to Laravel ensuring functionality and performance are maintained or improved.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot debug and upgrade existing software as needed.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices within the development team.
Requirements
What We re Looking For: Skills Spotlight
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in PHP web application development.
- Extensive experience with Laravel framework specifically version 10 or higher.
- Strong knowledge of PHP 8.1 and its latest features.
- Familiarity with CodeIgniter 3 and experience in migrating applications from CodeIgniter to Laravel is a plus.
- Proficiency in writing efficient SQL statements and designing database schemas.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and jQuery.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment using tools like Slack for communication and project management.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
