Summary: Responsible for selling complex technological products or services to businesses. The Sales Engineer will serve customers by identifying their needs engineering adaptations of products equipment and service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively drives sales and business development.
Formulates strategies to grow sales revenue market share and customer satisfaction in
assigned territory.
Serves as a liaison and advocate between the customer and the organization.
Prepares and delivers technical presentations explaining products or services to customers
and prospective customers.
Confers with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system
requirements.
Collaborates with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales
support.
Secures and renews orders and arranges delivery.
Plans and modifies products to meet customer needs.
Helps clients solve problems with installed equipment.
Recommends improved materials or machinery to customers and shows how changes
will lower costs or increase production.
Helps in researching and developing new products.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Effective sales competency
Technical aptitude with air compression and rotating equipment preferred.
Knowledge of technical products rotating equipment air compression products and their
applications
Knowledge of industrial distribution models or multi step distribution preferred
Advocates a safetyfirst attitude in all aspects of position.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 software; SAP experience preferred.
Education: bachelor s degree (BA) from fouryear college or university or three to five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel: This position does not typically require travel outside the local area or overnight. Travel up to 75% of the time may be required to accounts meetings company related functions.
