Whether you are working in a CPA firm or in industry if you have an interest in utilizing your experience to work on more exciting projects along with a mix of clients then our Outsource Accounting Services (OAS) team is right for you! This is a unique opportunity for Senior Accounting Consultants to work both onsite and/or virtually to assist different clients with their accounting needs all while being a fulltime or parttime Insero employee. This position is client facing and requires interaction with all levels at our clients as well as internally within the firm.
*Current need would focus on small business related clients or nonprofit / not for profit clients. Fulltime or Parttime opportunities are available. Based on the clients that one would support we have the flexibility for one to be able to some hours from home/remote and balance between our office and client offices.
Location: Rochester NY office. *For most of our positions at Insero one can work in the office every day or if you like in a hybrid structure working up to 3 days from home.
*We relocated to a newly remodeled office located in the heart of downtown Rochester. There is easy access to great restaurants and events and featured amenities such as collaboration spaces game room and firm paid for underground parking in a secure garage.
Responsibilities: (would vary based on the specific client engagements that change during the year)
- Project based accounting work for various local clients.
- Ability to prepare a full accrual month end close.
- Ensures an accurate and timely monthly quarterly and yearend close and financial information reporting.
- Analyzing general ledger process identify clean up and resolve irregularities that occur to ensure the financial statements.
- Communicating reporting requirements with client internal departments.
- Assisting clients with their financial statement reporting processes including cash flow and disclosures.
- Reviewing outstanding receivables and analyzing allowance for doubtful accounts.
- Assisting and maintaining clients annual operating plan/budgets.
- Coordinating all accounting efforts with external auditors tax preparers supervision of staff and regular communications with owners and financial institutions.
- Review of operational financial and technological processes to provide management with assessment of business risk internal control and the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.
- Establishing or upgrading accounting ledgers or systems for businesses.
Outsource Accounting Services:
Our Outsource Accounting Services Group has been around for over 25 years and is made up of dedicated personnel whose only assignments are supporting our client base. We are full time CPAs CMAs Accountants and Business Managers. We understand the issues that Controllers and CFOs face every day and our technology experience and flexibility add real value. Outsourcing for us is not something that fills our downtime; it is our focus all year long. Our services range from bookkeeping to budgeting and forecasting. Our Outsource Accounting Services Team ensures our clients have the information and advice they require to run their business.
In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $65000 $75000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position such as eligibility to receive discretionary spot bonus incentives. This range is a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills experience qualifications and/or education and geographic location. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the capabilities and experience of the candidate. Incentives if any depend on various factors including without limitation individual and firm performance.
