Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Light Commercial market sector. This position is responsible for assisting with the electrical design on a variety of projects managing project schedules budgets and teams and ensuring the highest quality of work is maintained. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams engage in innovative problemsolving and contribute to the advancement of the built environment. This role is located in Austin Texas and has a flexible hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading electrical design projects from conception through completion ensuring they meet client requirements codes and standards
- Manage project teams assigning tasks and overseeing work to ensure quality and adherence to timelines and budgets
- Serve as point of contact for clients contractors and other project stakeholders maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct detailed electrical system analysis and design including but not limited to power distribution lighting fire alarm and low voltage systems
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed drawings layouts and schematics for various electrical systems
- Ensure compliance with local state and national electrical codes standards and regulations throughout the design process obtaining necessary approvals and permits as required
- Collaborate with mechanical architectural and structural teams to ensure electrical systems are seamlessly integrated with all other aspects of building designs
- Attend project site visits and meetings as needed for project development design reviews and construction administration
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university
- Professional Engineer License in Texas
- Significant experience in electrical engineering within the MEP industry with a proven track record of successful project management
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems design principles and methodologies including power distribution lighting fire alarm and low voltage systems
- Knowledge of electrical practices and standards including but not limited to NEC NFPA IESNA IECC and IEEE regulations
- Strong project management skills including the ability to develop project plans establish milestones allocate resources and monitor progress to ensure successful project delivery
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit with a demonstrable track record of producing highquality electrical drawings and models
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams clients other regulatory authorities to achieve project objectives and deliver successful outcomes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
