Production Support Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Support Engineer to join our team specializing in Fixed Income Trading Applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with front office traders a strong understanding of fixed income products and handson experience with the ION platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first and secondlevel support for fixed income trading applications ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with front office traders to understand their requirements and provide timely resolutions to their issues.
• Monitor troubleshoot and resolve applicationrelated incidents ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
• Perform root cause analysis for critical issues and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
• Work with the development team to identify and implement application enhancements and bug fixes.
• Maintain and improve monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
• Coordinate with other IT teams such as network database and infrastructure to resolve complex issues.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of application support processes troubleshooting guides and issue resolutions.
• Provide oncall support as part of a rotating schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in production support with a focus on fixed income trading applications.
• Extensive experience working with front office traders and a strong understanding of fixed income products and trading workflows.
• Handson experience with the ION platform including ION MarketView ION MMI and ION gateways.
• Proficient in SQL and database management with experience in Oracle SQL Server or similar databases.
• Strong scripting skills in Python Shell or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems and commands.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced trading environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
