Assistant Controller
San Bruno CA $138250 $168500 Direct FullTime Hybrid: 4/1 Construction
ABOUT THE ROLE:
A construction client based in the Bay Area is seeking a directhire Assistant Controller to provide support for the company's accounting operations and to assist in the oversight of the accounting department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large and growing company in a managerial capacity!

ABOUT THE ROLE:
A construction client based in the Bay Area is seeking a directhire Assistant Controller to provide support for the company's accounting operations and to assist in the oversight of the accounting department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large and growing company in a managerial capacity!
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Assist with managing the company's accounting department
- Prepare financial reports to track company performance
- Reconcile GL accounts and accurately review cost studies
- Manage the monthend close process of the company
- Manage the company's property tax filings sales and use tax returns and payroll tax returns as needed
- Accurately prepare financial projects/analyses/modeling as needed
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget
- Other duties as needed
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- MBA or Active CPA highly preferred
- Prior experience in managing an accounting department required
- Prior experience working in Construction industry with $300mil in revenue required
- Experience using Vista Viewpoint software highly preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Experience using Excel (mid to highlevel)
