Xayn is pioneering next genAI for large organizations. We build secure sovereign and sustainable AI systems that leverage the power of language models at scale such as Noxtua the first sovereign European Legal AI. To strengthen our Software Development Team we are looking for a:

Freelance Full Remote Rust Developer (m/f/d)

Standort: Europe Remote: 100% Freelance Start: 01.07.2024 Durance: 2 Months

The Tech team consists of around 8 individuals who work remotely or at the office in Berlin city center. Besides the development team Xayns technical lead and an external consultant team handle various tasks related to providing Xayns development team with the necessary technical environment ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of Xayns AI applications.

Tasks

• Development and maintenance of a distributed system for data processing using Rust
• Improving system reliability by implementing robust error handling and testing
• Working closely with DevOps team to deploy and monitor Rust applications in production environments
• Developing backend services in Rust and integrating them with frontend applications
• Conducting performance tuning and optimization for existing Rust codebases

Requirements

• Availability: Fulltime EU timezones
• Education: Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Programming/ Scripting: Rust optional Python
• Infrastructure as Code: Strong will to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure resources (e.g. with Terraform Ansible or AWS CloudFormation)
• Containerization: Expertise in Containerization (e.g. Docker) of cloudbased application as well as Orchestration (e.g. Docker Compose
• Work mode: Excellent time management and prioritizing skills
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision as well as flexibility to cope with changing priorities
• Language: Good written and verbal communication skills in English German is a plus Mindset: humble but hungry
