As a Shop Laborer you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the work area especially when handling sharp tools and machinery. Shop Laborer Job Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the work area to prioritize safety especially around sharp tools and machinery.
• Use proper safety gear such as eye protection and ear plugs as provided by the company to prevent injuries.
• Carefully read work orders and seek clarification from supervisors as necessary before starting tasks.
• Emphasize precise measurement in all tasks to avoid irreversible mistakes particularly when cutting doors.
• Handle doors and related products with care employing protective measures like placing cardboard sheets between items to minimize damage.
• Maintain quality control by consistently checking and rechecking work to uphold the companys standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous shop experience preferred with lumber experience considered a significant plus.
• Cleancut appearance and a friendly demeanor demonstrating a positive attitude and aptitude for learning.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Commitment to safety and quality with the ability to use safety gear and follow best practices.
• Good customer service capabilities capable of interacting professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
• Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
