Key responsibilities
- Assessing students needs and providing academic counseling and guidance
- Assisting students in course selection program planning and career exploration
- Developing and implementing student success plans
- Providing support and guidance to students facing academic challenges
- Delivering workshops and seminars on study skills time management and academic success strategies
- Collaborating with faculty and staff to support student success initiatives
- Assisting with the interpretation of academic policies procedures and requirements

- Referring students to appropriate campus resources for additional support
- Participating in student recruitment and orientation activities
- Conducting outreach and followup with atrisk students

Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Counseling Psychology Education or related field
- Masters degree in Counseling or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in academic advising counseling or related field
- Strong understanding of student development and learning theories
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse student populations
- Knowledge of academic policies procedures and educational requirements
- Familiarity with assessment and intervention strategies in counseling
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
