Job Description

Overview:

The Data Entry Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient data entry and maintenance. They are responsible for inputting verifying and updating information into databases and systems thus contributing to the organization s smooth operations and decisionmaking process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing accurate data entry tasks by inputting and verifying alphanumeric data.
  • Organizing and maintaining files and records for efficient data management.
  • Ensuring data integrity and security by conducting regular data audits and backups.
  • Responding to data inquiries and generating customized reports as required.
  • Utilizing data entry software and equipment to facilitate data entry tasks.
  • Adhering to data entry standards and procedures to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
  • Entering sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Resolving discrepancies in data by investigating and correcting errors.
  • Performing other administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient data transfer and processing.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in data entry software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fastpaced environment.
  • Understanding of data confidentiality principles.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of databases and data analysis techniques.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
