Job Description

Are you a seasoned sales and business development executive with a passion for the financial services industry? We are seeking an Associate Director of Business Development based in London, who thrives in dynamic environments and has an active network in the London financial sector. In this role, your expertise in risk and regulatory solutions will drive growth within the banking and financial services sector.

In this role, you will leverage your extensive network and industry knowledge to both identify new opportunities and cultivate long-term client relationships. As an individual contributor, you will take charge of your own targets, bringing in new logos and fostering strategic client relationships. You will drive sales and business development initiatives, respond to RFPs, develop SOWs, and craft "go-to-market" strategies. Utilising your expertise in selling to high-level executives such as CROs, CTOs, CIOs, CCOs, COOs, and Heads of Markets, Enterprise Risk, Wholesale Banking, Market or Credit Risk, and Compliance, you will secure and manage key accounts.

To be successful in this role, you should have extensive and proven success of selling risk and regulatory solutions within the financial services industry, specifically in investment banking, capital markets, and commercial banking. You should possess in-depth understanding of risk and regulatory transformation, global markets/front office, technology transformation, middle office, credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring, enterprise risk, loans operations, FCC, or cyber risk.

Candidates with a background in banking are preferred (investment banking, commercial banking, trading, sales), working for consulting firms, boutique firms, ratings firms, technology firms specialising in risk domain/technology consulting, KPOs, FinTech, or brokerage houses. A proven track record of achieving ACVs/TCVs of 3.5 million to 5 million in the last 2 years is essential, though exceptional candidates with slightly lower figures will be considered if other qualifications are met.

We will also consider client engagement profiles with a successful history of selling to C-Suite executives and professionals without a risk background but with experience selling to the relevant persons.

So, if you'd like to join our client to leverage your sales acumen and industry insights in a role that promises both challenge and reward and if you're driven by results and ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you. Apply now to become a key player in the business development team!
